About the Book & Author

… And now modern technology makes it possible for people everywhere to connect with Biblical truth in a very special and unique way. In the Bible and on the phone, one minute and one day at time; that’s what The BIBLE & Phone Minute is all about. It’s a daily connection with God’s Word simply by reading and/or making a phone call. 1 minute x 365 days = 1 year of working your way through Bible passages from most New Testament and some Old Testament chapters. A tiny comment accompanies each Bible passage to help the reader/listener focus on and make a self-application of the scriptures. The book is also recommended for Sunday School and Bible study groups in an overview study of highly treasured NT scriptures.  A Teaching and Study Guide to assist teachers is also available on the “For Bible Study Teachers” page of this website.

Author Elmer Winner, completed this work at the age of nearly 80 years. It is his prayer that The BIBLE & Phone Minute will help many believers stay in the Word daily and that many new believers will join the family of God through this ministry.

Elmer Winner is also the author of Grandpa’s Two Minute Bible Stories, and his first book was The Power of Caring for Elementary Schools which shares success secrets for principals, teachers, and parents of elementary age children. He has served in several capacities in our educational system, including elementary teacher, principal, and college instructor.
